ShoreTel just added another stellar UC cloud solution to its array of brilliantly simple telephony and UC offerings with the recent completion of its acquisition of Corvisa. Corvisa LLC is a UC cloud provider of standards-based APIs, customizable IVRs, SIP trunking, and a standalone cloud contact center. All will complement and expand Shoretel’s cloud-based offerings and provide new sources of hosted revenue.
Don Joos, President and CEO of ShoreTel summarized ”We are excited to have Corvisa’s leadership team and approximately 95 technically skilled and customer-facing employees join ShoreTel to further enhance our development roadmap and go-to-market actions.” He added, “The close of this acquisition represents another milestone in the acceleration phase of our strategic plan.”
This strategic acquisition is expected to boost ShoreTel’s fiscal 2017 hosted revenue growth to at or around 30 percent through enhancement of several key areas of ShoreTel architecture:
- Corvisa’s open, standards-based application programming interfaces (APIs) and software development kits (SDKs) are expected to accelerate third party application integration.
- Corvisa will position ShoreTel as a SIP trunking provider, enabling ShoreTel and its channel partners to deliver simpler transactions for customers while unlocking powerful revenue streams.
- The Corvisa standalone cloud contact center brings a decisive competitive advantage to ShoreTel’s presence in the rapidly expanding cloud contact center space. Also, ShoreTel will now be able to integrate more readily with non-ShoreTel communication solutions.
Additionally, the reach and scope of ShoreTel cloud services in Europe will expand with the acquisition of Corvisa’s Amsterdam and UK data centers.
